Ship recycling is regulated by the Hong Kong Convention and Basel Convention with inventory of hazardous materials and ship recycling plan. Vessels are sold under a bill of sale with builder certificate, class society certificates (IRS, LR, DNV, ABS) or CE category, flag-state registration and deletion certificate, survey reports and export clearance; delivery is afloat, by heavy-lift transport or in containers for small craft, with engines and equipment listed on the invoice.
